if want to go to Germany alone by plane, can i or i need visa ? as you know my wife in Germany. You will usually always need a visa if you travel alone, as you cannot claim any EU Treaty Rights if you don't accompany your EU family member. Independent of any legal requirements, you would probably h...

Re: non EEA national' s spouse(EEA) became British! help req

My husband has EEA family residence endorsment in his passport (he got it when we got married in 2005). When exactly did you start living in the UK as a married couple and when exactly did you give up your EU citizenship. If the period in between those dates is 5 years or longer, your husband has m...

Re: Moving to Spain using Council Directive 2003/109/EC?

Theoretically, according to this directive, someone with an EU long-term resident permit should be able to move to and work in another EU country (excluding UK, Ireland and Denmark). Hi all, just to clarify: According to EU law someone with a residence permit in accordance with directive 2003/109/E...

Re: EEA2 applic. for US wife (dual national sponsor)

My wife is from the USA and she is on a spouse visa which has a 2-year probationary period (ends 2 June 2011). That's pretty soon. Once she got ILR, there is no obligation to apply for naturalization. So she can just as well keep living in the UK with her ILR and only pay the 900 pounds. I have bee...

If you want to test-run your documentation, your partner could first apply for EEA1 via the same day service in Croyden.

Then you'll see if UKBA is happy with your CSI and how much details they want about your financial support.

If he is self-employed, then he doesn't need to register with WRS and you can apply for EEA2 straight away, once you're married. Just be careful to supply proof of his self-employment and not to claim he was a worker instead.

You can phone up their "EEA residency enquiries" line. If you've sent your application via special delivery, they can use the tracking number to see if it's logged on their system.
