Where is the SET(O) interactive form?!

UKBA advertises interactive SET(O) form on their website . You're supposed to downloaded it, completed it on the computer, then upload and pay the fees online. It all sounds great, apart from one thing - I can't find the flippin' form  ?!? The only form I can find is the "normal" PDF ...

Current system is great, it's just need tweaking: - better control & fact checking for all long term visa applications - student dependents should not be able to work - students work should be restricted (to discourage people coming as students for sole purpose of working; companies should have ...

Pips, i think this all depends on your definition of self-employment. Like the HO indicated, migrant workers are allowed to take supplimentary work, provided its in line with your permitted work. So if I am a software developer. If another company wants to consult me on a certain project, or to dev...

The "3 month rule" doesn't really mention WP, only Tier2.

There was a discussion here whether the rule applies to WP as well, but you just've made it clear that it doesn't.

WP can't be granted for solve purpose for contracting out an employee.

For that reason I'd keep UKBA out of this as you may have been in breach of conditions of your WP.

Fees don't reflect costs of processing paperwork, but the govt policy on immigration.

Consider them a tax on immigrants.

On 14th of July 2009: The Government's previous decision to change the rules so that migrants who are already here and who want to stay are now disqualified from doing so is both unfair and wrong-headed. It is unfair because those people have made a commitment to this country but are having that fl...

If we read the intention of UKBA carefully,we may conclude that they are only targeting Tier 1 general during the course of applying for settlement. Tier 2 /work permit will not be affected in any way. why? because the minimum salary upon which tier 2 and work permit is approved initially is alread...

http://www.ukba.homeoffice.gov.uk/sitecontent/documents/aboutus/reports/soi-tier2/tier2-soi-transitional-measures?view=Binary Seems to me it's clear that UKBA intend to change settlement rights for those applying for T1/T2 after April - not before. Of course, the salary requirements would apply curr...

I don't think HO would go as far as to remove settlement rights for T2 - especially since they plan to close T1(G). My guess is that they will crackdown on dodgy colleges, put extra restrictions on student visas (ie remove PSW, right to bring dependents, or work entitlement) and possibly T2 (ie sala...

It's not really news - most of this was known since November (Home Secretary's speech).

As far as I know, new rules are to be announced in April. Only then will we find out what the changes are and who is affected.

This is not accurate. I'm a work permit holder (so need to complete a landing card) and yet use IRIS.
