If they are coming to help with child care, they are considered as coming to work (even though it is unpaid work) So they will be denied. Dont make the mistake of mentioning that anywhere in your application.

I have read through all the above posts. I wish to raise the point for work permit holders (those with 5 years work permit visa) who are due ILR later this year. Some of them have gaps in their visa between EC and date of entry which is more than 3 months (so they cannot apply for ILR under recentl...

If you have been in the UK in an eligible category for five years or more and you want to extend your stay, you must meet the full requirements for scoring points under Tier 2 (General). The rule could not be more clearer. You certainly qualify under Transitional Arrangements A because you HAVE NOT...

dont confuse yourself with the laguage. its irrelevant. Whether you call yourself main applicant or anything else, common sense alone can guide you on how to fill that form (for your child) The correct language will be to consider the the tier 2 holder as the sponsor and the infant as the dependent....

Pips, i think this all depends on your definition of self-employment. Like the HO indicated, migrant workers are allowed to take supplimentary work, provided its in line with your permitted work. So if I am a software developer. If another company wants to consult me on a certain project, or to deve...

The appropriate salary part will be determined by the new Codes of practice (currently under review) but I guess they will only affect initial applicants, which means you are highly likely to qualify.

It seems your issue could be somewhat different to the effect that i described, because you applied originally from outside. I realise what i described applies to those whooriginally applied from here who wish to extend their Tier 1. eg. if they applied when £24k gave them 15 points, (before the po...

thought those who are already here on Tier 1 will extend using the points level they used on their first application, which effectively means all those on Tier 1 who want to extend can do so, no frills no questions asked. you will not be required to achieve any points on extending, full-stop.

Tier 2(ICT) ????
I am sure this is treated differently to Tier 2 general, so it might well be that you wont be able to extend this one.

you have obviously breached the immigration rules and as it is, you are not fit to be trusted by any immigration officer. You will not be able to apply for FLR here if you are an overstayer. Your case is very thick and will need a very good lawyer. Your best bet, will be to return to Zimbabwe asap, ...

my advice: DON'T attempt to deceive by lying, false documents, fake letters, adhoc agreements etc. If the job offer is real, your friend should know how to write it, surely he already have other employers whon he has offered jobs. For the rent, lowering it for few months will raise eyebrows. Best th...

firstly if you submit the application before she is 18 you will be fine.
secondly, if its you who is applying for her, then its you who has to prove you can accomodate her, so unless your agreement with your son is a signed contract, you will have problems there.

So you were refering to the Accession worker card
You can apply this independently if you have got a job offer as you said. The fact that your brother was granted the card will not give any merit to your application.
