My mother renewed her passport last year and she has not changed her oci card. You just have to carry the old passport with the life long sticker in it.

No need to renew the PIO/OCI card. However you MUST keep the old expired passport with you as the PIO/OCI card has the old passport number.

If you wish to renew PIO/OCI you may via HCI London's Miscellaneous Services

Yes you need self-attest all copies of paperwork. Also make sure you have a a surrender certificate for at least one of your parents (if they are british). Send original surrender cert.

You can apply at any Indian Mission in the world, however I suggest you apply where you are resident for convenience purposes, unless you live very near to Mission in India

Although you should NOT have sent the passports you still have time left.

If you dont hear anything by mid November I suggest you go down to HCI London and sort it out personally. You will not have much joy via phone!

Yes ready for collection

- print a copy of the status report
- buy a PREPAID special delivery envelope from post office and address it to yourself
- Original british passport

Put all of the above in an envelope and send it to HCI London

If paying a fine for not having surrendered your passport when you should have is considered a problem by you, then yes you will face a problem.
