Re: EU Blue Card for Germany

It shouldn't require a market test. The blue card doesn't require this unless I'm mistaken. It is also a shortage occupation.

Re: EU Blue Card for Germany

Ok, thanks. That does seem to tally up with what I received from the embassy in England. Shame their definition of "resident" is more stringent than HMRC's  I get the impression that my only options here are to apply for this in Germany or go back to Australia (I am currently in Colo...

EU Blue Card for Germany

Hi all, Have skimmed this thread and the search function but haven't found a specific answer to this, and while it probably resembles lots of other situations there are a few quite specific bits. Anyway I am hopeful that I will soon be offered a job in Berlin. It and myself satisfy all blue card req...

Why can't the UKBA use Royal Mail for the BRP?!? My housemate just found a letter from this DX bunch of jokers, completely nondescript, saying they tried to deliver (I was at work, what a surprise). So now I have to pay a charged line to request redelivery, after 3 attempts with the voice recognitio...

Feel free to "start the investigation process" :? I am just leaving a GOOD REVIEW for an agency that gave me a good price and very fast turnaround time. Not everything needs to be a scam. If I was advertising a scam or spruiking the agency would I not have named the agency in the thread? M...

I can assure you the PEO is open Sundays. It might be only temporary. I am not sure if this is only for representatives or for public bookings as well. Although everyone else there on Sunday seemed to be accompanied so possibly it's for reps only. This is a public forum and the agency has asked me t...

If anyone wants the name of the agency (they are on the OSIC list) please feel free to PM me. The price was very good and as mentioned from first contact to visa success took less than a week.

Can I just get a senior/moderator to advise if it's OK or not to name the agency on here?

PEO Croydon experience with Agency - success

Quite simple Tier 1 renewal - one employer, payslips/statements, all documentation in order. I had been completely unable to secure a PEO appointment using the UKBA online system so had no other choice to obtain a pre-6 April appointment than to go through agencies. I emailed a large number of agenc...

Address for application (T1 extension)

Hi, Another question.. a fairly unique circumstance. I have been abroad for some time, and am now back in the UK in time for T1 renewal (no problem with the requirements). However I have vacated my old residence, which is the one the UKBA would have on file. It would be ideal if I can put my new res...

I'm no longer with my previous employer... but thanks, and noted. Edit: as evidence of the expected success of the application I could provide an employer with the print out from the points calculator, not sure how much water this would hold though. there should definitely be a tax deduction for imm...

Job prospects while application is pending

Hi, I'm all set to submit my Tier 1 renewal, despite my repeated best efforts I have been unable to secure a PEO slot before the fee increase on april 6th and thus I am deciding whether to pay an agency a premium for same-day service or to just do it by post. Now I am currently also looking for a ne...

:x :x Trying last 2 days, and the website keeps kicking me off. Right now I cannot even load https://apply.ukba.homeoffice.gov.uk (connection times out) and I have been trying for 45 minutes. It's not a problem with my connection; I can open other websites including other parts of the UKBA website. ...

Gotcha. Will give it another go.

My current leave expires on 16 April - what would you say is the last date I can feasibly do a POE appointment? The alternative is just to do it by post but I would really like to avoid that if possible.

Thanks for the response. However I've been trying for half an hour now. I am searching date range from 12 to 30 March, Anytime for days and times, and searching at Croydon, Cardiff and Birmingham. I've tried expanding to 30 April (which would be too late for me anyway) and also tried Liverpool, Shef...

How to get a POE appointment

Hi, I've been trying online to get an appointment for my Tier 1 (General) extension application. I am unable to get ANY appointment slots over the next 2 months, I have the options as relaxed as possible, and have tried different POE centres, etc. Although as I live in London Croydon is far preferab...

Tier 1 Renewal - Bachelor's Degree

Hi, I had a quick skim of the first few pages and didn't see this mentioned, so apologies if it already has. I am in the UK on Tier 1 and intend to renew next year (it expires April 2012). I just got into a panic because I went through the points-based system calculator on UKBA website and it didn't...

Transfer of Conditions timelines

Hi, I'm not sure if you can help me as I just want a bit of advice how to deal with the UK Home Office. I'm an Australian living in the UK under the Tier 1 (General) Visa, and currently employed. I had my passport stolen when on holiday in August last year, and after re-entering the UK on emergency ...
