Re: UK NARIC letter for english language requirements

thanks all. I guess I will just ask my dependent to the B1 exam. Cost wise, there isn't much difference between getting the NARIC letter and taking the B1 exam. Exams saves us the hassle of chasing Uni for transcripts and english language letter.

Re: ILR Tier 1 Migrant - two questions

Thanks CR001 and O_Relly.
O_Relly, it's reassuring to hear that people indeed get their ILR back in 3-4 weeks when applied by post, provided the application is straightforward. Postal is definitely the way forward for me.

Even I am really worried about using this FD but its either this or waiting for 2 more months for application.

FD as proof of maintenance fund when FD is on joint name

Hi all, I want to show fixed deposit as proof of maintenance fund for my wife's dependent visa. I am currently in Tier 1 General. However, the fixed deposit is jointly in my name and my father's name. Is it possible? If yes, what kind of letter I would need from the bank. Any input will be much appr...

How much maintenance fund do I need to show? The policy guidelines say 533£ for dependent and 800£ for myself. But why 800£ ...
