Salary

Hi,

The new policy does states that which is the higher of the two, your salary income or the SOC hourly salary. So if your salary is £20,000 but the SOC hourly salary is about £25,000, it means that the government is expecting you to earn £25,000 and not the minimum £20,000.

So what does this mean? 71 professional jobs? When are they going to tell us what are they? That is a lot considering the list is very short in the first place.

I just wish that they just annouce it and tell it to us!

UKBA

Hi Arsenal,

I work 37.5 a week. Anything over, I am allowed days off :). So I do not get any overtime.

I agree with you. At this moment I do not understand anything about Tier 2.

slightly confused

Hi,

Please correct me because I am sure this can't be the only changes to Tire 2 for 2011? Also, if the occupation is not listed, does this mean you cannot even apply a tier 2?

low paid

Hi Arsenal, I would agree with you it is badly paid for the amount of work that I need to do. Thus my query at the top. Becuase NHS have a 'banding' system, different areas of UK, would have different payscales. For example, I am in scotland, my pay is £18k. However, in England at the same band sca...

I am currently holding a PSW. This visa is 10 months away or expiring. Does UKBA take into consideration if yo...
