thanks all for your replies. before closing this topic i want to add my last comment. noone should ever travel without brp in hand even though some UKBA staff would tell you its possible (this is true story). there is no need to have the account number. having your name and address on the first page would be enough. and obviously would need stamp and/or the logo of the bank on each page is needed.

the safest option is not to travel in this circumstances i assume.
im going to the airport now will talk to the flight company and the people at the security check. if they tell me they wont let me in with this letter i wont be traveling. thanks for your answers.

tier 1 case-worker told me that i can travel. the urgent issue is the conference and thats the reason i wrote them so they approved my visa this fast. and it does not say that you cannot travel on the letter, it does say you are not advised to make any travel arrangements before receiving brp. so sh...

HO approved my visa and sent me the confirmation letter and my passport back. I received invitation letter today dated 22nd of Feb. I dont know why it took so long to send that. I went to the post office today and gave my biometrics.

Well i called again, no chance. i dialled the number for existing application, but still the person told me that they dont deal with such enquiries. my only concern is that if the letter lost in the post, and if i didnt receive it for any reason, whats gonna happen since we have to provide biometric...

You just need to use the one that you lastly entered the UK with if you are applying inside the UK (I am not sure how it works if you apply outside of the UK). I guess they are not all valid, so use the one which is currently valid. So try to find the one on your extension visa, if there is not any,...

it might be better to mention here, the time you spend in UK neither under student visa nor the PSW counts as "stay" in the UK to be eligible for ILR.

try to order the statements through telephone banking, they arrive more quicker than ordering it through the branch. if you dont receive it a week before the expiry date of your visa, just print out your online statement and get stamp from the branch. dont worry, it should be alright.

well i searched on google. wrote my area + mp and found his website, called the office and talked to his secretary. they are reachable.

they sent me an email yesterday, telling me that they will write to UKBA and send a copy of the letter to my address.

thanks for the tip. i called the local MP and his PA asked me to send an email so they can contact UKBA, it seems they have done this earlier. Hopefully it will work out. Thanks again.
