Mention refusal in the application form. Mentioning earlier refusal (and its reason(s)) in a covering letter serves no purpose, IMHO. there is nowhere in the application form to mention it. i have been scanning through the form but no section require that. you are only ask the point based reference...

Docs returned if refused with Visa already expired with HO?

hi All,

If my visa expired whiles awaiting Tier1 application decision from HO:

Will UKBA return my documents including all passports if am refused?

Is there an instance where it will not be returned?

A friend was told to collect it at the port of exit from UK.

im pretty sure your new app must be for tier 2 general as all other schemes are closed. they must have transitional arrangement in place for old WP holder but you should check if your employer is registered on ukba register of sponsors. otherwise you cant apply for tier 2 visa! cheers thanks. the e...

I dont believe that is allowed. You have to be continually employed (economically active) during a 5 year period on a work permit.
