9 weeks or 62 days and still no COA...I am trying to be patient but this is ridiculous. My husband needs to work and it's not fair. I'm happy for everyone on this board because of course I understand how hard it is to wait but how can it be that people who applied a month ago got their COA already a...

Has anyone tried calling recently? I just tried and what I did before (the 015-167-25626 number then 2 and 1) isn't working. It's been almost 2 months and no COA and I'm getting annoyed...seems like people don't have to wait that long to get their COA generally... I'm on hold at the moment (32 minu...

Hi CondorVilla, Did you end up applying for the Student Visitor Visa? How did it go and what did you do?? Because I have the same problem at the moment, I wanted to know if the visa is valid for the full 6 months? Because I saw some websites that said, that the visa is only valid 7 days before the ...

DEFINITELY call - I ended up waiting almost a month for my passports because I chose to email 3 times before calling. Even then, I had to call 3 times. Use this number so you don't have to pay the 0845 cost: 0151 672 5626 Note that it will ring about 20 times before an answering service picks up. De...

If you have read the requirements and have all the necessary paperwork you should be fine. Or you can pay 76 pounds, apply in advance, and remove any and all doubt. You should be granted entry for the full six months unless there you have been in the UK recently for some considerable time. In retro...

Rejection for SVV at the border?

Hi, Has anyone been or heard of someone rejected for a student visitor visa as a non-visa national (Chile) at the border? I have all the necessary paperwork (more than enough funds to cover the 5 months, paperwork from the English school I will be studying at, address and phone number of the place I...

We want to wait until we're in Europe a bit in order to get married. That is a good suggestion regarding the certificates though.

I am from Poland, why do you ask?

So there would be no problem with us getting married after his being there for 4 months as a student visitor and me exercising my treaty rights? And therefore he would be able to remain in the country? Would we then file for the EEA 2 or would we have to file for the EEA FP even though he is already...

I was hoping maybe someone had gone through this and could speak from experience. I posted this question on another thread but my concern with getting married in the UK is that my fiance is a non-visa national and is planning on entering the UK as a student visitor to take an English course for 5 mo...

applying for EEA family permit not in country of residence?

Hi, I have read conflicting information about this and the official UK website isn't helping much. Do you need to apply for the EEA family permit for the UK in your country of residence or, for example, could you leave the UK (after having been there legally as a tourist), get married in another cou...

Re: Student visit then EEA?

If you don't mind me asking, how long have you been together? How did you meet? Where did you meet? Have you resided together at all? Of course, not at all. We have been together 8 months, we met because I work with his brother and he introduced us and the entire duration of our relationship we hav...

Student visit then EEA?

Hi, I'm Polish, my boyfriend is Chilean, and we're looking to move to the UK in a few months. Marriage is something that we have talked about but it's not 100%, more than anything I want him to get a sense of living in Europe before making that commitment. As a Chilean he can enter the UK to study E...
