Re: Summon for Non-Payment of Council tax - Tier 1 extension

I received a summons for Non payment of council tax on the 23rd of march to appear in the court on the 15th of april for pending council tax of £374. It also mentioned that if I pay the pending council tax + £55 costs before the date of hearing all further proceedings will cease. I paid £500 the...

Re: Info on Umbrella company

No it's not related to IT only , any contractor can go down the Umbrella road. But there are many pros and cons going with an Umbrella or alternatively you can have your own limited company. I assume you are Tier1 holder , so overall for us it's less headache when you are with an Umbrella as you wil...

well I don't agree with these remarks. If you check current rental properties on the market , you could see huge number of all inclusive offers by property owners . Reason be market is highly competitive and owners try to attact potential tennants . Therefore if it's clearly stated in the agreement ...

Re: ILR refused

hi , just wondering if you could have been eligible for discretion as this clearly is a case where dicretion applies.

did your wife stated in the application that she stayed for more than 90 days or is this just being discovered by case worker when checking entry and exit stamps?

thanks

This post is kinda weird to me . I guess this question comes from a mind who follows the 'debit' style of living which is more common in Middleeast or East. In West majority live on Credit. That is to say even before your salary hits the account , your loans , mortgages , credits instalments , bills...

The reason there are no concrete answers here is because this is a consultation. Whilst there are recommendations made, these are not final and the details will not become clear until the guidance is published. This happened with previous consultations where people go word-by-word on the consultati...

Re: Study on Tier-1 General

I am not sure about rules per studying along with tier 1 , but as a MBA holder , I don’t think it would practically be possible to do a tough course like MBA and work at same time( I don’t even suggest a part time work) The other thing you may consider is doing an MBA , will take you off the mar...

That’s exactly why I switched from Barclays ages ago. My new bank , just give them a call and they produce your original statements for any date any time , posting it in 3 days( there is fiver for charge ofcourse) . But for us in desperate need of documentation , it is well worth money.

Re: Why not just go for 2 extensions - any thoughts please?

I think in extreme scenarios yes that’s the solution , but it’s not just the money you throwing down the bin here but the fact that naturally these processes are stressful .
