Hi York, Just to make this clear unspent driving convictions are those that you receive from court fines and points etc. If you have a FPN they are not considered,, you need to declare it but they will not effect the decision and about salary as per COP we should wait and see what we get which shoul...

Also how fair would this be that people on tier2 who were as per cop salary and now with the revised salaries coming out in a few days are not able to get the increase, this is like bullying you to get your salary raised and pay more taxes so it can go as benefits, also not a invalid point to sue th...

The problem is that they have given the indication of changes twice but have never been clear about the WP holders as the tier2 were always on the COP but dragging WP holders to follow COP when there original WP's were issued at half the salary of COP is not fair. As long as they are looking for an ...

Hi York, My Visa expires on 5th May and since i entered country on 15th may i can only apply on 17th april, i have 15 days after my fate is decided to pack and go or stay and really stressed about it. Feel like i was forced into bonded labour for 5 years and now after saying earlier that you can app...

Hi York,

I agree with you, earlier there was no extension criteria but we will have to wait for the final rules to be published and i am hoping they are soon. I think any day now.

Hi Tara, I think we should wait for the new rules to be published and see what we can do from there on. Twice they have indicated that the old WP holders will have to prove they are still working in a ighly skilled job as per there work permits so lets wait and hope that final rules favour us a bit,...

It looks like it I mean if they issued visas at 20k and now looking for 50 or 60 thats not reasonable but if they are looking at some hike since the original WP was issued then it sounds more fair. I dont know when are the new rules finally coming out, I was expecting on around 29th 30th but they ar...

Hi Bani, Thanks for your reply, I have already written to the MP once and will do that again but if I change my job title, do I need to inform home office. I have certainly got my salary appraised since my WP was issued and my lawyer said there is a transitional phase where old applicants are normal...

Hi Bani,

It was my case as my WP states IT manager and in COP its 45k which will be updated again and dont know to what but the field is huge and I dont know how will they assess it. I just checked reed and IT manager's average salary is no more than 40k its less than that only.

Hi York I dont know if anything can be done legally or not but certainly its not fair as if we were issued work permits at lets say 20k and now cop says that the profession should have 50k then who would be able to get such an increase in 5 years, and because we are on wp and its employer specific w...

Hi all,

What worries me even further is that the COP is not on ukba website, we are only referring to the old cop and if they further increase the salary how would we cope up already they are looking for 100 to 200 percent salary raise.

people working on phones in ukba just say anything literally they just read out from the website and that is it so we have to hope wait and see that there is something to cheer about i think

Hi Tara, I am giving you my example, I am IT manager and got wp at 20k, now they ask for 45k, so do you think that from 2006 to 2011 a person should have made 120% increase in his salary, this is ridiculous and also these occupation sheets were never in front of us to see what was what. This will be...

Hi All, This is really a big problem for people on wp as when we got it there was no minimum salary required as per the profession. My salary as per that should have 45k salary and i was given wp on 20k for the same post. How can these people expect a 120% rise in 5 years in such an environment when...

Hi, I met my solicitor yesterday she said a letter confirming from your employer that you have been in employment should suffice but also you can call hmrc and ask them to give you statement of earnings for past 5 to 6 years and they will be able to send it to you. it takes 2 to 3 weeks so better to...

if you dont have p60's like i also do not have all the 5 years of p60, I requested HMRC to send me statement of earnings which they did in like 2 to 3 weeks time so you could call them and ask them to send it over to you.
