Thank you very much for the advice vinny. However i needed advice on what to do regarding the person's passport as ukba still has it. And withot it he will not be able to apply to registrar office.

hi everyone.

i have a question. if someone's visa application is still being processed and the pass port is still being held by ukba and its been 2 years , what procedures should the person follow if he wants to marry an ilr holder?

Good News,

Finally got my ilr today.
Application sent :28 april
Acknowledgement letter dated : 11 may
Payment taken: 13 may
Ilr received: 7 july

hi guys ,
i wanted to know how long we have to wait before contacting ukba about our application. it has been 8 weeks since ukba received my application and 7 weeks since they took payment. anyone in the same situation ?
please advise if you can. :(

I am in the same situation as u. I posted on 28th, received on 3rd bt no payment or letter till now. Am just hoping that this doesn't delay the whole process and having to wait 6 months!!!!.

THANKS U FOR YOUR REPLY.
i have checked my passport for any stamps n i have checked it thoroughly but couldnt find any stamp for that trip. when i applied for that visa i wasnot told to make sure that my passport get stamped. i thought it would be obvious to the authorities concerned to stamp it.
