Because sometimes, citizenship can be based on you parents [and by connection, maternal grandparents].

I don't know why so many people are complaining about this. Either you know [or your parents know], or just write 'not known'.

Probably it differs from NCS to NCS - I was given standard RMSD reference...

I would be interested in clarifying this as well. I am planning to attend the ceremony with my wife and 1year old. I'm the only one being naturalised so my wife will be able to stay with the baby. One more vote for NCS, mainly for keeping your documents.

While my BC application was processed I went abroad twice, which I wouldn't be able to do if I didn't use NCS.

It was £40 well spent.

I think it says not to use that form until two weeks have passed from the date of applying.
