I was shocked to know that this person did not even know the correct website to go on to and guided him instead of him helping me.
So, did you find out?

If anyone would like a copy of the two official books [one with practice questions] I will gladly send them to you if you forward me some stamps to cover the postage costs.

They've been sitting on the shelf since April 2011...

PM, please.

He is talking about passport interview - and worries that they'll have access to his information submitted for naturalisation, which differs from information he submitted for the passport.

I was shocked some people were in jeans and jumpers. Most people were smartly dressed. At mine, one guy was in a T-shirt and and another was wearing a hat throughout the whole event  There were 12 people already booked when I got a place at the ceremony few days prior, but in the end there w...

Looking at the Passport Timeline thread, can we still 'count' on return of the documents within 4weeks/1 month period? I don't mind that interview can be some time later [when suitable for both me and IPS], but I would need my original passport for a short trip month later. I assume that paying £3 f...

Re: 1st passport, 48 pages, how are doc returned?

For 1st passport application, if want to apply for the 48 pages jumbo passport, are the extra fees for supporting documents returned by Secured Delivery automatically waived? On the IPS website it says:"IPS can also return your supporting documents by Secure Delivery for an extra fee of £3.00....

I had a little chat with some guy from IPS [call centre] yesterday about this - he said that their guidance only tells them about the passport you've entered the UK on and that is the one that needs to be sent in. On the other hand, form [and guide booklet] clearly state that any current, uncancelle...

There are no visa charges. No, only the cost of going to London to apply for it, premium rate phone number (£1.50/min) if you want to ask them something and of course having to obtain all the documents required. Btw, [at least] one of the countries on that list didn't pay irish visa fees anyway eve...

My apologies - someone else on another topic mentioned visa waiver and I just read it the same.

Now looking at the quotes in my first reply I can see that it was about fee and not visa.

Once again - apologies.

Ah, but did you notice that the visa for the citizens of some countries who are long-term residents of a Schengen (or UK) country, Russia included, is free? Slightly different issue in that this is part of the Irish visa waiver scheme to promote tourism. Yes, I realise the fee vaiver is a concessio...

They would - it's one of the requirements and a common reason for refusal.
