A friend of mine received a letter today with invitation to choose date for the Dublin ceremony. The dates available on the letter were 2nd and 3rd February 2012. May be there will be more letters next week. We will wait and see.

I think they request 2 garda reports - one from Ireland from your current Garda station and one from your home country.

Usually takes about a month to get the one from Ireland. However the report from the home country depends on the particular country.

I sent them a copy of my new passport in the beginning of Sep as the old one expired. The letter to acknowledge the receipt of that came this morning with the extra sentence for the advanced stage :) No LTR as I am EU citizen.

Hi guys, I received a letter this morning saying my application is at advanced stage and decision will issue in a due course. I applied in Aug 2009. Letter of acknowledgment received 1st Sep 2009.

Would anybody know if this will mean that it was sent for signing?

Hi guys, I tried to call them for the last 3 weeks. Finally I got through today after waiting 20 min on the line. They are waiting on garda clearance but the lady told me that it should not take that long. May be another 2-3 months. I applied in Aug 2009.

I did try to ring them probably more than 20 times this morning. The line was busy all the time..... I suppose they just left the line open so nobody can get through.

Either they are too busy working on the documents that are to be sent for the 2 ceremonies in September or still on holidays.
