Re: Help please with citizenship application

Thanks for the reassurance. I really don't see a problem as I've been here so long. Just waiting on an appointment with the solicitor and will then send everything off.

Very thankful to those of you that took the time to reply and help me. It's been much appreciated.

Re: Help please with citizenship application

I am thinking of sending the originals of my mortgage statements and my tv licences I have copies of the mortgage statements to keep for myself should I ever need them. I don't imagine I will though. Up to you, but you're not getting those back. I would be safe and keep the originals, just because ...

Re: Help please with citizenship application

My plan is to now go to my Commissioner for Oaths and get them to sign off on the two passport biometric pages, my GNIB card and birth cert and two passport photos. I think this is the final step. Just to be sure you don't do an extra trip, do you also plan to make them sign the Stautory Declaratio...

Re: Help please with citizenship application

Regarding my means of support, I have two jobs. One is my main source of income that I am PAYE and the other is a small private practice. I ticked the box for employed, I'm not sure if I should have ticked other and listed both sources. What do you think? It shouldn't infuence anything, but you can...

Re: Help please with citizenship application

Myself2, thanks again. Yes, my tax clearance cert sounds correct then. I'll just send them what I have as it is the same as you describe. I just checked the residency one and you are correct. My name is printed there, its just very small and I had initially missed it. Regarding my means of support, ...

Re: Help please with citizenship application

Thank you both so much. I feel I am almost done now. Last two questions if anyone can help: The tax clearance certificate: I did not receive a certificate but instead got a tax clearance certificate application result that states my name, PPS number and an access number. Is this printout what I prov...

Re: Help please with citizenship application

Copies should be fine (doesn't matter who does them), but bring originals, so they can make sure they're a true copy of the original. Do I need to have them copied at a solicitors office and every page signed? Not anymore; ISD recently said only biometric page is needed to be signed. https://www.ir...

Re: Help please with citizenship application

Hi, I was referred to a solicitor here in Cork, and he handled all the passport copies - Copying and signing every page - as well signing my birth cert copy, passport photos and signing the form. He was really nice and charged me a capped fee for everything. Otherwise 10e per signature will cost me...

Help please with citizenship application

Hi all, I'm an Australian citizen living in Ireland over 20 years on a Stamp 5. I've finally decided to apply for my citizenship. I've found the whole application process quite stressful but have managed to get all the necessary paperwork together and now just have to have my passport/s verified by ...

Stamp 5 - WCATT

Hi there

Just wondering if anyone has any idea what the waiting time is for Stamp 5 WCATT. I sent my passports off a week ago.

I'm hoping to travel to the UK before Christmas and am wondering what the likelihood is of getting my passport back by then.

Thanks in advance.

thank you, Unfortunately I presumed that was the case. So much damn red tape. I am almost able to get the permission to stay without condition to time, so it would be utter madness to take a job in UK and forego that. I am worried, if I got sponsored in the job in Belfast and then was made redundant...

Room 1102 - my stamp 4 runs out end of October. I am prepared to stay here in Ireland till the stamp 5 comes through. I dont have a job in the UK, I just know i am far more likely to get one over there than here. If I was to move to the UK after the stamp 5 is sorted and take up a sponsored job ther...

I was thinking if i got my stamp 5 and then went to the UK, if anything happened over there I could just come back to Ireland.... I ...

It is so confusing... realistically I dont see me getting a full-time job in Ireland any time soon. I got a stamp 4 in October and am of the understanding i cant even apply for the stamp 5 till that only has 6 months left on it (so April/May). And then it takes a couple of months to come through if ...

Quite a complex situation. Can anyone help?

Hi there I've posted on here a few times and got some very good advice, so i am hoping someone can help me. Basically I'm Australian and moved to Ireland in 2000 and believe I qualify to stay in Ireland 'without condition to time' in April this year. I am currently stamp 4. I own a home here but los...
