Hey Aliq

You pay class 2 NICs for self employment though. I am self employed and I am a director of a ltd company, hence the different documents I took.

Will post when I receive my card.

Best of luck all.

Hey leo I provided my accountants letter that stated my gross and net profit for self employment and what I do for self employment. He stated that he could not provide end of year accounts as the accounts are not yet filed. He drew up some management accounts that 'favoured' my profit and I gave him...

My accountant is regulated by the IFA and they accept that. I just received my ILR today and I got him to mention as a footnote at the end of his letter that they were regulated by the IFA.

Good luck.

Name shortened on payslips, problem?

Hi again

On all my slips, my surname has been shortened, (something to do with double-barreled surnames and the system my accountant uses)

All the payslips have been stamped and attested by the accountant.

Do you think these will be accepted?

Thanks all

My reasoning behind it is: I though it would help for an explanation for some of my earnings. I am self employed and a director of another company. I wanted to explain that my wages from the PAYE are seen as a transfer and not as a payment from my business acc X to my personal acc Y (you only see th...

T-Bag, I did my Tier 1 extension at croydon and as long as everything is in order I reckon you dont have to worry (it seemed pretty straightfoward) regardless of success stories. Or at least this is what I am hoping. Barclays on a personal basis is pretty shocking, the business side has been far bet...

Hi Again I have all my statements for the past year for my personal and business statements uploaded via PDF to my online account. I have printed all these off myself and will use them as evidence. They look exactly the same as the ones they would send from the bank. Do I need to have these certifie...

Hi adk, I got my ILR 2 days. I am a company director as well. No, you don't need to earn the same or more than what you earned in your Tier 1 application. You'll be fine as long as you earn enough to give you 75 points in total. When I applied, the case worker did mention that my earning was less t...
