Yep. I quite liked carrying around my two passports while traveling (the first 10-year one had a lot of history in it for me).

...thanks for your PM - well done again. This site is brilliant - I asked so many asinine questions in the lead up to my PEO appointment and the experts and applicants alike here dealt with them promptly and genially. :D

... I think most banks will endorse account activity info from their online banking if you take hard-copies in to them. I did this for the most recent month prior to my PEO appointment (appointment was a few days before I usually received my statement in the mail - was dumb not considering this befo...

if you are covered under HSMP JR April -Nov 2006 (you applied in between) then it will not affect your wife ILR even if she got fine through court. If you are not covered even then it will not affect your wife's ILR as it is a Fixed Penality notice . Pay it without going to court. rgds ... at the P...

It is immaterial that what changes have been made in form. Law is law. To be valid application should be on current version of form subject to exception mentioned at page 10 of UKBA guidance mentioned above. Ain't that the truth! ...I had a PEO appointment and all my evidence sorted, but had been w...

ILR success - SET-O - workpermit basis. Croydon PEO

...just a thank you to those on this forum who kindly dealt with the random questions I submitted leading up to my PEO appointment. I'm a Kiwi school teacher whose been here for coming on 7 years, on consecutive workpermits for the same school/education authority. Around March, I started compiling m...

...thanks for the prompt reply Joh. A further question about absences: in the last couple years I've had a couple of trips to the EU and I'm having trouble tracking the exact entry/exit dates in my passport. I'll certainly be able to give the months, and all of them fall withing my usual 'leave with...

...when can I apply?

I am applying for ILR using set O (workpermit holder). I am a kiwi primary teacher, sponsored by a London Local Education Authority (LEA). I've read bits and pieces here about the 28 day rule and I've got a few really simple questions I need clarification on. I am happy to be linked to existing thre...

You were supposed to have the original work permit, used to enter the UK, and copies only of letters if you were in the UK. Ask for copies, I am sure you will feel better and the caseworker can find the record of the Work Permit that much quicker. Your evidence of right to work should be the sticke...

dumb(?) question

Hopefully this is the right place to post this thread: ...I'm a teacher in a 'permanent' post for a London Local Education Authority (LEA). I've been on two consecutive LLR visas (one 1.5 years, the next 5 years, expiring this summer). I've been paid salary through LEA payroll, with the usual deduct...

how early can I apply (set o - kiwi sch teacher on w/permit)

Hi ...am a bit confused about my eligibility - I've been here for 6.5 years on two consecutive work permits (18mths + 5 years) all for the same local educational authority, in the same school. My current work permit expires 28 July 2011. My friend seems to think since my current leave to remain is '...
