If she cannot switch what do you suggest as the course of action? Shall I do as follows? Renew my Tier 1 visa in March 2012, as soon as I get my visa, I will take my fiancee back to my home country, get married there, apply for EC while she still has self employed visa. Is this feasible? What happen...

Hi,

Do you mean EC as entry clearance?

If that is the case, she is already in the UK having self employement visa, so she can switch into Tier 1 dependant with no problems right?

I have Tier 1 visa until March 2012 and my girlfriend has got self employed visa until October 2012, and we would like to get married and switch her visa to dependent Tier 1.

Just a question, My visa expiry date let's say 21 May 2012, I have to apply before this date even if the same day service, so if I apply on 20th, my visa start date will be 20th May 2012. But when it comes to ILR application, it will not be exactly 5 years (it will be 1 day less) so I have to apply ...

Hi, I know, I had seen the policy guidance before (edit: I am talking about version 12/10), but the immigration rules clearly states (still) the minimum age as 21, also I was told that despite the policy guidance, someone with Tier 1 applied for his dependant and got refusal. So I hesitated. http://...

minimum age for marriage

Hi,

As you know the supreme court has abolished this 21 year old minimum age rule

So this means I can get married now and apply for a dependent visa for my fiancee who is 19 years old or do we have to wait until some time when HO changes its immigration rules?

Hi, Me and my fiancee applied on 29/03/11 however due to urgent travel, I had to withdraw the application on 1st April. Unfortunately I still do not have the docs back. I sent a fax message on the number provided by the PEO on 09th May, not mentioning the numerous emails. The problem is we also do n...
