Hi Nemo, My husband's application for EUTR was successful last year, and we applied with me (the EU citizen) being self-employed. I had only started self-employment in Ireland 4 months prior to sending his application. I use an accountant, so he sent a report every couple of months to INIS certifyin...

Thank you very much for your replies. It is good to know the bank account balance won't matter too much if applying as self-employed. Much appreciated!

Timeframe to send EU1 form after arrrival + Garda question

Hi, My husband and I are getting ready to move to Ireland in just a couple of months. I have posted here before and gotten tons of helpful information, so thanks again. I have one more question. I'm a EU citizen, my husband is a US citizen (so he doesn't need a visa to enter Ireland). I was advised ...

Thank you very much for your help.

I had found the directive previously, but wasn't sure under what amount of income one would qualify to apply for welfare in Ireland.
Note to self : find good health insurance first thing upon arriving.

Treaty rights as self-sufficient, how much is enough?

If yous have sufficient funds and full health care cover (which will cover you in Ireland) that means you are fulfilling the self sufficient clause and qualify on that basis. . Thank you for your input Patty, I guess the inexistence of a publicly set amount to qualify as "self-sufficient"...
