Heavens,

You will not be able to apply for an ESTA as you have been refused a US visa in the past. You will need to apply for a visa through the embassy. If you go to the ESTA website and enter your details it will direct you to the embassy after you answer the questions on there

Re: A few questions about the form

Hi All, I'm going through the application form and would appreciate your input and guidance. My details are as follow: Arrived in the UK in Sept 1998 - as dependent of diplomat Aug 2007 - switched to HSMP (had to go back to my country for Entry Clearance) then Tier 1 17th July 2012 - received ILR T...

I guess it will depend on what category are you claiming ILR under. If you are applying under Tier 1 then you need to show earnings from within the last 15 months, and this should not matter.

I have read elsewhere as well that the Indian Govt is not that strict with minor's passports. So you might not be fined when you do surrender it.

You dont necessarily need to have documents in joint names. However you will need to submit 6 sets of documents each in your and your wife's names. These will need to be spread over the whole 2 years and should be from at least 3 different sources. So you can submit your wife's bank statements, but ...

Interesting, I believe that the Home Office cannot rescind grant of citizenship if the person would be rendered stateless. So if Pakistan, or any other country, allows dual citizenship of any form then the home office can revoke citizenship. Once that is done the person's stay in the UK would be una...

If you ar entering the UK after 1.5 years there should not be a problem. However if the gap after leaving is very close to 2 years, like a few weeks short, or over 2 years then the ECO has the right to stop you. There is no specific guidance on the requirements except to state that you have substant...

Table 2 will apply to you as the following statement is true for your case

and has not been granted leave in any categories other than these since 6 April 2010

Your extension in December 2010 was within the same set of rules and was not in a category other than those listed.

If you have asked for redirection of mail then the address has been linked to your name and may show up on checks. If it does then they may come back and ask for an explanation which might cause a delay.

Best to just mention the address and avoid this possibility
