Another query if anyone could help... I've been looking over my partner's accounts and since he started his limited company, he has moved most of his income to be received through the company. So for the first 7 months of the last financial year, he has lots of transactions/incomings/outgoings, but ...

Thanks for the response.

Yeah, tell me about it! Though, it is a massive warehouse in central London which also doubles as an office, and the cost is split fourways... that's how I try to justify it anyway!

My annual net income is £22000. my rent is around 2600 per month Current income suport for couples over 18 is £112.55 So: 22000 ÷ 52 = 423.07 2600 x 12 ÷ 52 = 600 Only my income on its own is less than our rent... But with my partner's income from self employment which is at least £25000 (he is doin...

Thanks! My salaried income doesn't cover the required amount because we share our flat with another couple but only our names are on the lease, so on paper our rent comes to quite a hefty amount. So I will need to combine my earnings with my boyfriend's. Can anyone tell me where I can find the old m...

Hey, I'm in a similar situation with my partner's account. He has five figure sums coming in and also going out as expenses (business related), and on average is left with about 3000 pounds profit each month. But he is still overdrawn half the time! We also only have about 3000 pounds in savings. An...

Found this in guidance for applying from outside the uk
The joint income of the couple should be taken into account when assessing the adequacy of the funds available.
Assuming it applies for applications from inside the uk as well?[/b]

Thanks for the replies, really appreciate it! I have a question regarding maintenance. The weekly maintenance you need to prove - 105 pounds after rent/mortgage and council tax - does this need to be covered solely by the sponsor's (my partner's) income? Or can it be supplemented by my income? The p...

by 'spread over the whole 2 years' does it mean it has to be every single month, with absolutely no gaps? Or can it be, for example january, march, april, may, july, september etc.. that sort of thing? I've always been terrible at keeping track of paperwork, and I've got some gaps within the 2 year ...

Thanks so much for the advice sanjay. I've checked on the home office website and all it says is that "you must have been given at least 6 months' permission to live here since your most recent admission to the UK", which should be fine for me (I came here on a 3 year visa then extension)....

Hi Sorry to butt in .. but is it necessary to have that 1200 pounds per month accumulated in savings, or is it ok to show that you are employed and make enough money to cover the amount? My partner and I make enough to cover our current rent + council tax + utilities with enough extra left over, but...

Hi, congrats on getting your visa! One question.. how long did you have joint bank accounts for? I have been living with my partner for nearly 2 years but only just opened a joint savings account. I'm worried that they will see it as a 'phoney' account opened only for the purpose of the visa, even t...
