[iD]... I am not sure if this is going to make you feel any better.. I recently applied for my tier1 extn in person and got it done. I was in the same situation (regarding age), however I just mentioned the age points I received last time(HSMP approval letter application date) and carried my initial...

I was in the same situation (regarding age), however I just mentioned the age points I received last time and carried my tier1 points letter for proof (just in case).

But I have to say.. the caseworker was not well informed..

Ok. Even I had received an email to the effect that it is the date of Entry clearance and not the date of application of HSMP approval letter...
Also, both were done in-country
Looks like they have changed sides now ...

Tier1 extn PEO success - Croydon

Hi All,

Thanks for your support throughout the appln process for tier1 extn.
It was a smooth sail.

Key point i want to bring out is,
I applied two months prior to my expiry and I was given extn from the date of expiry.. Lucky me :)

Cheers....

Many might have already read this link.. http://www.ukba.homeoffice.gov.uk/sitecontent/documents/policyandlaw/ia/migration-perm-limit-pbs/ia-pbs-t1-t2.pdf?view=Binary But I found some interesting bits As we tighten our entry criteria it is also logical to restrict our settlement criteria to ensure t...

Thanks for the link mate.
I was just typing in my details on the point based calculator and surprisingly it asks you to enter the current age and not the age at the time of the initial date of application.
Does this mean they have not updated the calculator yet?

Pls don't jump upon me of scaremongering.. etc., etc., Just a genuine question. Cameron's speech refers to "Last year, 84,000 people who initially came on a work visa got the right to settle here. I want Britain to continue to attract the best workers. But it cannot be right that people coming ...

earnings of less than 12 months if they have

The FPN will stay in the licence for 4 years. But that doesn't necessarily indicate it is a criminal conviction. Do you have a reference to the home office where it states FPN (with 3 or more points ) received for traffic offence (like speeding etc.,)is a criminal offence. I have been following up s...

It depends upon your long term plans.. Since you came back to uk in 2010 after a long break(more than 3 mths) you have to go for another extension if you are intending to apply for ILR(as per current rules) in the future. It would be better if you apply within 28 days of expiry so you don't hv to go...

Age band confusion

I came to uk in 2006 on work permit. Eventually, I applied for hsmp on 2 Feb 2008(and my age was 29). I received hsmp approval letter in March and was awarded 10 points. I applied for FLR in the month of June 2008(but by then hsmp scheme had been replaced by Tier 1) and got the visa for 3 yrs by the...

So I am not able to associate which Reference / Transation Id is for whom. I have pasted below one of the ema...
