There are my 2 cents, First of all, salaries in the UK are considerably lower than those in the US. However, check this link for more information: http://www.payscale.com/research/UK/Country=United_Kingdom/Salary Minimum wage: http://www.direct.gov.uk/en/Employment/Employees/TheNationalMinimumWage/D...

There are my 2 cents…. Whether you’re living in Italy or Brazil, and according the HO web site, she should apply to obtain a family permit http://www.ukvisas.gov.uk/en/howtoapply/infs/inf18eeaswissnationals#22715004 . This is a clearance to enter the UK; will be valid for 6 months and she’d be...

This is exactly what I did 10 years ago when I landed in the USA. I went to department stores, supermarkets and other places; gracefully talked to locals and in my particular case, it only took less than 3 weeks to fully understand their accent...!

Good luck!

Just for the record, when in your opening post in this topic you say "spouse" you mean your legally married spouse? If yes then you already have Treaty Rights to work, but the problem is proving it. John, why "proving it" is a problem? Wouldn't a marriage certificate be more tha...

.CAN I APPLY FOR MY EEA2 NOW??? Yes, as your wife is now exercising Treaty Rights in the UK you can indeed apply for a Residence Card using form EEA2. No proof of address required. Be careful...!

1) You weren't paid off the books, instead you were given a 1099 (Independent contractor ) and therefore you have a tax bill. Contact a tax preparer to solve this matter.

2) If you work permit has expired, read this: http://twe.ly/4vib

Good luck.!

If your husband intends to seek, apply and maybe accept any job upon arrival to the UK, he needs to obtain VFA5 Family Permit BEFORE entering the country. By obtaining the biometric passport, it will only enable him to enter in the UK as a visitor. I've found this: http://www.immigrationboards.com/v...
