Thanks very much. Hope so too. It sounds so pathetic probably but I just feel like bursting into tears to be honest. I just want to go home to my country, with my husband.
Thanks, have written to them again just now by email and will call in the morning if I hear nothing. Going to have to top up my phone with loads of money first, the cost is just ridiculous.
"Once a decision is made on your application you will receive an email from the British Consulate." Part of the worldbridge reply to me, Jrge, are you able to verify with your friends if they did receive an email when the decision was made ie before receiving documents back? Much appreciat...
Hi jrge, thanks for asking. Nothing yet, I emailed worldbridge today to try and get an update, will call wed/thurs as basically 15 working days will have passed wednesday. Time goes v slowly, not nice at all.
They gave documents in day after us so April 3rd (correct me if I am wrong), after that there were 2 bank holidays in Madrid so Monday 16th when it was issued was 7th working day.
I know our case is complex but we are trying to live each day with hope. We cannot sleep much these days awaiting news, nothing so far We handed in documents/biometrics April 2nd.
Jrge please let us know when your friends hear anything re their application. I understand ours is most probably more complex than theirs so will take longer but still good to know. As last Thursday and Friday were holidays and not including the Monday we submitted, it has been 7 working days so far...
UPDATE: My friend's wife had her appointment today in Madrid. Biometrics were taken and supporting documents received. She was informed that applications are being dealt within 15 business days, and due to the holidays, her application won't be looked at until next week. Did she have to wait for 4 ...
I actually just managed to get us an appointment for the Spanish residence permit. It is on October 10th. Thats the first available appointment which just seems so very unfair, considering in Valencia and Barcelona there are several appointments this week. But we are not registered there so cannot a...
According to Spanish law, it must be issued within three months (not six as per the directive). I don't have practical experience, but know what the law says. I know you are desperate to get to the UK, but perhaps you should consider letting things settle down just a bit. You've just married, you a...
Considering that your husband has criminal convictions for drug offences (the conviction exists, whether it was "correct" or "wrong") and has tried to enter the UK illegally, you may have difficulties entering the UK. I think you are wise to apply for an EEA FP in Spain, and to ...
I would like to go in - simply because the embassy in Madrid is very complicated for some reason and as I have been there several times before for other documents I needed for our marriage - I would just feel more comfortable us going together.
On another point, we have our appointment on Monday - I want to submit my actual passport with my husbands so they can see the original stamps of me travelling to my husband's country several times over the years. I do not have a certified copy of any of our documents so wanted to provide all origin...
Here is (part of) the answer re the 14 euro payment "We do not consider the postal fees related to the return of passport with the issued visa should be considered as visa fees and to be in violation of the Directive" On another point, we have our appointment on Monday - I want to submit m...
Ours worked fine including 14 euro payment - re appointment make sure you do this around 8 am or you may find there are either no appointments at all or none for a couple of months. If you do it early morning you can find appointments for in just a few days time.
No, we were not married at time of conviction (this was in 2002) or the time of attempted illegal entry (December 2008). But we did travel together when he attempted entry and was caught at airport in UK. I can honestly say this was pure desperation to be together after so long (I was halfway throug...
Wow, that is crazy. Well, I will not expect a reply, the €14 euros I can do without but it is just the principle. I wanted to go through the documents we are providing at the embassy at our appointment (I am the Brit exercising treaty rights in Spain, my husband is non EU) Both of our passports (min...
