She feels more comfortable sitting it in india, also it would be cheaper especially with the exchange rate now. The teacher that taught her is a friend of the family so would only need 1 or 2 refresher classes then she would sit the exam. Whereas to do it here she would need to sit through a term of...

But it only lasts for two years, so when we go back to India in December i'll get her to re take the test.

New English test - OCT 2013

Hi,

My wife passed her IELTS test in India back in oct 2011 with a 5.5 band.
Does anybody know if she can use her IELTS test certificate for her SET (M) application plus the life in he uk test?

One other thing, is there some time frame in which she has to do the test by? i.e can she take the test a year before she applies for her ILR. Will the test certificate be valid?

Hello, my wife arrived from India a couple of months ago and i was wondering what is the process of her gaining british citizenship? Does she have to sit some type of exam? Any info would be helpful. Thanks

Hello guys, i will b travelling to UK with my wife from India in 2 weeks. Can i join her in the 'other passports' queue or does she have to go by herself to present her passport to Border control at the airport? I'm worried if the officer starts asking questions, my wife will get nervous and scared....

Spouse visa refused, what about general visa?

Hello, i'm waiting for my wife to pick up her passport from VFS. I'm soo worried and anxious about the putcome. I'm thinking the worst here, but if she get refused the spouse visa , would'nt it b better for her to apply for a visit visa and once here apply for the spouse visa? Any ideas?

COLLECTING PASSPORT

The status on the VFS website has been ' Your application is being sent to the application center, please wait until it is ready for collection' since thursday. Any idea how long it normally takes for them to send it from Delhi to Jalandhar. Why is is taking soo long, i hope its not lost on the way!...

I was born in the U.K, got married in Punjab on 24th Oct 2011, submitted application to VFS Jalandhar 9th Nov 2011, now waiting for the go ahead to collect the passport. I think their closed 23rd 26th and 27th so i'll have to wait a agonizing 5 more days!! I submitted the usual Marriage cert Wifes b...

Hi, my wife was refused a work visa on two occasions in the past 3 years from the canadian embassy, now that we are married and have applied for a spouse visa for the u.k, will the refused work visa play any role in the ECO's decision for the U.K visa?

can you not just start a new application for the visa, costs around £1000 for the settlement visa, why pay a solicitor and UKBA £1000+ and wait 4 months?
