Re: **** COVID19 and UKVCAS Appointments **** (ONLY discuss here)

Hi everyone, I'm hoping someone can help me out here. I am on ILR and applied for my Naturalisation in early January. I then booked my appointment for 1 Feb 2021, and uploaded all my documents online to the UKVCAS portal by about 25th January. I then attended my appointment on 1 Feb. The officer sai...

UK Ancestry - initial absence greater than 90 days to the UK

Hi everyone, I've just had my UK Ancestry visa granted, which I am stoked about!!! However, I put on my application that my travel date was to be August, and a comment saying that I wanted my visa to start from that date. Unfortunately it has my start date as 6th June 2011, so it was obviously the d...

So I've just got off the phone to Citibank. The branch manager is not able to provide me with a signed bank letter as these are produced out of a separate head office. I am getting them to fax me a letter, saying that the 4 statements are authentic, and I have requested them to send me an original m...

you may have to wait for the faxed statement and then send the copy of the email on your previous post to explain why you do not have original statements. If necessary they can call the bank and check if it is genuine For such a large bank, Citibank do seem to run a very bad service. Less than 10 b...

Further to my previous posts, I just read this from an email request I had previously put in for the statements from Citibank. "Further to your enquiry, please note that our branches will be unable to produce copy of your statements." "We'd like to be able to assist you, but we are un...

Can you not go into a branch and ask them to print off your statements and put them on a letterhead? Well that's ideally the case, but there's only about 5 branches in Australia, and talking to the rep on the phone he's not sure that they can print off the statements for me there. I think that's we...

Hi there, I apologise in advance for this topic, as I am sure there are a large number of topics in relation to bank statements needed for application of visa's. However, I searched but could not find a topic which answered my query, so I'm hoping to get some assistance. I bank in Australia with Cit...

At what point does 5-year continuous period start for ILR?

Hi all, I've been delving through a lot of these posts and hoping to find an answer to my query, but no such luck. Basically, at what point of the visa will the 5-year continuous period for ILR start? I presume it will be from the visa start date, but want to make sure. I plan to have the UK Ancestr...

4. If you tried to enter the UK as a visitor before the start date of the visa you could be refused entry. If permitted entry yes have to leave and come back to validate the ancestry visa. Although non-visa nationals do not normally need visit visas, they are not guaranteed entry into the UK. Visit...

Can I enter UK as a tourist before my Visa starts?

Hi everyone, Just a query which I haven't really been able to find a clear answer for so I thought I'd spell out my situation here. I'm going to the UK on an Ancestry Visa (from Aus), and it will be valid from mid-august 2011. My query is however, will I still be able to enter the UK on 20 July 2011...

Hi all, I've had a bit of a dig around and couldn't really find an answer to my queries. My background is I'm from Australia, and I'm applying for a UK Ancestry Visa. I am travelling to London in July 2011, but then immediately travelling through Europe until the end of September then returning to L...
