I think there is no up to date information on their system, as they are switching to new system and they can't update every thing on the current system with the pace applications are being processed. I think your application could be at more advanced stage than their current system tell you. Howeve...

Another thing if in case you have sent your Original Birth Cert to INIS then you can write them a letter to send your Original Birth Cert back they would send it back to you, our neighbor did that when his Passport Application was returned and got his Birth Cert back from INIS in 3 days. GOOD LUCK

No they would not accept Passport instead of Birth Cert, if you don't have Birth Cert then try to make a new one you have more than one month to apply for Passport. Send all the Original Documents they would send you back every thing. We sent them the same documents as they mentioned in examples inc...

I got it 2day as well.July 2009. Wife got approval last friday.July 2009 too. Looks like they cleared all 2009's July's backlog. Good luck to all waiting CONGRATULATIONS! Guys, I am a bit confused. What should be sent to INIS after receiving the approval letter? Do we need to send original passport or not. What original travel document they are talking about in the letter? Second thing I still dont get is after receiving the CON is it sufficient to post only the fee...

thanks Pikka thats correct. one point to mention that i have my middle name on my GNIB card. on my birth cert it gives names of me /father/grandfather and the middle name i have on my GNIB and on my current passport is the first letter of both father and granfather any idea what i should do? thanks...
