Now that I am filling the form I have a few other questions. 6.1 When did you (the main applicant) first enter the UK? This refers to the date of your first entry into the UK at the beginning of the period of stay on which this application is based. As I was already in UK when i was granted WP - wha...

Thanks for the reply. Also what did you mentioned in the earnings section. did u show two different sources or 1 source. I think I will show two sources as that what the payslips say and if possible have that letter to explain. Also would the letter unnecessarily complicate the issue? Or if I don't ...

Criminality cases and ILR

Hi guys, My ILR is due in January 2013(Workpermit issued in January 2008, then converted to Tier 1 General). I am currently on Tier 1 General. My 10 years residency also happens to complete in Feb 2013. I have a question regarding the criminality threshold. Before 2007 I had some council tax letters...

Congrats. You mentioned at the time of applying you were un-employed. I have read many times in these forumns it's better to be employed and take employer letter etc - though there is no mention of this in the application form for non-tier2/work permit holders so we need only to meet salary criteria...

OK my mistake didn't read 3(2) clear. this section applies to our case.
The child BC parent by descent needs to live for continuous 3 years before the child's birth in UK. It doesn't need to be the immediate 3 years before birth - somehow I thought the 3 year period is just before birth.

Thanks for the replies. Let me make it clear. The child hasn't been born yet :-) but will be in future. So we are looking for the best option for the child citizenship. One of child's parent is BC NOT Both. The BC parent is NOT born in UK so BC by descent cannot be passed to the child if born outsid...

Thanks again. I guess it wont be an issue for the child if born in uk. However, you may be able to apply to register as a British citizen (see registration ...

child citizenship

Hi guys,

I am a british citizen currently out of UK. I gained my citizenship through my parents. I was NOT born in UK. I wanted to ask about my child's citizenship if he is not born in UK. Does he needs to born in UK to qualify for uk citizenship.

If we assume the new rules wud only be for post April 2011 new applicants wich is more likely to happen-
then how wud the govt bring down net migration . Elections are due in 2-3 years and rules wud be applied after that? Very fair for us :-)

This is bad. Going by past rule changes- this rule won't/shouldn't be applied to all applicants. But you never know. I have a feeling our time is up. Home sweet home. Surely the rules in place of our visa/extension should be applied. I have seen ppl saying these rules will be applied for visa applic...
