you have the visa. the sticker on your passport is valid for a certain duration and you have to get the biomeetric card once you reach UK. This is because the biometric cards are not issued abroad. Tier2 (General) Urgent

Hi,
I havesecured job in UK and applying for tier2(gneral) visa. Just now came to know that No ILR for tier2 visas. is it correct?
How long I will get work permit under tier2?
How long I can extend it once it expires?
Am I eligible for ILR after that?

You just need your certificate number. No need to send the original. Just photocopy the original and attach with the application.
