Referee Designation

Hi, my professional referee who used to be a manager in a multinational company has now been promoted. His title is now head of marketing. Can this person still be my professional referee? The guidance says manager or director in a company.

Employer letter

Hi all, I'm applying for ILR under the T2(G) route. I have 3 questions about the employer letter: 1. I cannot get hardcopies from 2 previous employers. Is softcopy fine (its on letterhead with signature)? 2. One of the letters is from 2 years back when I left the company. I had requested this as I t...

Indian Citizenship Renunciation Application

Hi,

Does anyone know if I need to take my minor child with me to VFS when submitting his application for renunciation? I didn't find any guidance on this on the internet.

Kind Regards.

Re: ILR for child born to tier 2 parents

Thank you for the explanation. One final question, 306 says: Where the parent or parents have or are given periods of leave of different duration, the child may be given leave to whichever period is longer except that if the parents are living apart the child should be given leave for the same perio...

Re: ILR for child born to tier 2 parents

Thank you for your response. I was referring to the posts by Obie that "both parent ILR" rules do not apply to children born in the UK. Also, the guidance in my post above details what can be done. If my understanding is right, 305(i)(b) and 308 in the link below are sufficient for the chi...

Re: ILR for child born to tier 2 parents

Thank you for your reply. Unfortunately, I’m confused now. Replies from other moderators on this topic seems to contradict your response: https://www.immigrationboards.com/indefinite-leave-to-remain/ilr-for-children-under-18-t245904.html Also, for children born in the U.K., the guidance on PBS depen...

consolidated receipt

I recently paid 1001 online for a Tier 2 visa application. When I reached the PEO, I topped this amount up with another 601 for a longer visa. Unfortunately, I forgot to collect the receipt. Urgent: visa fees

I have a PEO appointment for tier 2 (upto 3 years) but I want to change it to tier 2 (over 3 years).

Can someone please tell me how can I pay the additional fee and retain the same appointment slot?

Should I call UKVI or try to speak to someone at the PEO?

I have been offered a job which I must start by end of November as required by the employer. I have completed 3.5 years of my PhD and about to submit my thesis soon. However...

Just a quick piece of trivia, with over 200 posts and over 25k views this thread is easily one of the most visited threads currently. Just goes to show how helpless people are feeling about their application. Therefore, any form of guidance on current service levels would benefit one and all - pleas...

I came across this article on the current UK visa situation in India.

I am afraid it does not look very good at the moment. Simple tourist
applications are taking more than a month to process!

I was told by the VFS helpline that not just me but everyone who made an application in April is currently facing delays. It is attributed to the recent holidays. So, I presume your application is delayed for the same reason. The Tier 4 system was overhauled recently. Although I applied under the ol...

There is an apparent delay currently in processing visa application due to the recent holidays. My enquiry with VFS revealed that processing times are about 1-4 weeks at the moment. So, I have started a thread for those still awaiting their decision anxiously like me. Hopefully, others will also con...
