Hi i think you do not need credit checks with Equifax/Experian etc Or SAR, otherwise looks ok also why do you need to file Self Assessment as you were employed for 5 years ? Thanks Kiran for taking time out to reply. The checks are just for my peace of mind before I submit ILR application to make s...

Re: 8 days short of 5 year ILR

This topic has been discussed many times and I am in the same category short by few days - ILR due in April 2016 end. For my peace of mind I had written a mail to workoperationalpolicy@homeoffice.gsi.gov.uk to confirm and they had indeed confirmed that there is no problem. The answer was the followi...

Re: where to find life in the uk test material free

You have already received good suggestions. I wanted to write my experience anyway as this forum has really helped me and as a member I feel obelised to share my experience, hence using this opportunity to summarise: 1.Get hold of the official book (Hard copy or electronic copy). I find reading from...

Re: Urgent help - NO last bank statement sent by bank

My understanding is that for ILR there is never a requirement to show maintenance money. Pls validate your understanding once again.

If I were you, I will not make things more complicated then they need to be.

Cheers,
Jacob

Re: Urgent help - NO last bank statement sent by bank

I have a suggestion, I assume you are using bank statement to demonstrate earnings to get enough points for the ILR. If that is the case you can show earnings from any 12 months from the last 15 months. So in effect if you leave this month and can still have enough salary from the preceeding 12 mont...

Re: ILR with visa less than 5 years - Home Office Clarificat

Hi Suresh, I am not an expert in that hence will refrain from calculating something that has confusion of 1 day as my advise can put you in trouble if that is not 100% correct. In my case I will not take risk of 1 day etc for example if my end date is 25th May 2016. I will apply somewhere in the fir...

Re: ILR 5 years shortfall

Hello All, Good news is that , anyone who is in the same boat as I mentioned above , can apply ILR without any doubt. Another extension is not required in this case as long as you fall in 28 days before your current leave expire. I have received a call from Home Office and this gentleman confirmed ...

Re: ILR 5 years shortfall

Dear Obie and Amber, Thank you so much for clarifying. So even though my total visa issued is less by 5 days to complete 5 years, I can still apply for ILR (if current rules remain) 28 days before the original end date. I also think based on your answer that I will be able to apply in person and pos...

Part 1 is apply for an extension by post - Tier 1 extension will be stopped by mid of next year so I will not be a...

Dear members, Need your help to clarify a point that is bothering me. 1. My first tier 1 visa was Tier 1 General, from 28th May 2011 to 28th May 2013 2. I applied for Tier 1 general visa extension but processing happened much faster than my expectation and visa was issued on the 23rd May 2013. The e...
