Hi, I wanted to revive this thread and was wondering if anyone has successfully claimed compensation from the UKBA? I received a letter from the UKBA complaints team apologising for not returning my passport within the 20 working days specified and it even details the 8 requests made by myself to re...

Hi sofia.d.c, I waited a total of 39 working days after my first email request to the ROD inbox. I went to the Italian consulate but first had to report it lost to the police to obtain a crime report which is needed to replace lost/stolen passports. I managed to get a new one the same day (about an ...

Just to update on this situation I ended up reporting my passport as "lost" to to the police today and got a new one printed. I told the police lady I assumed it was lost in the post, when I told her it was with the HO she said that I'm one of many who have reported it lost by the HO as th...

URGENT HELP PLEASE! Document Return

Hi, My spouse is from the USA and I hold an Italian passport though we live in the UK. After almost 2 years here we sent off his application for a residency card (not the permanent residence just the passport page thing so you don't have to keep applying for the permit when it expires) on October 2n...

Hello Vinny or anyone else that can help! We are about to submit our EEA Permit application in the next few days but I still feel a bit wary about being born here in the UK and living here for almost all of my life. I never formally naturalized as a British Citizen but how is this information access...

That sounds promising as I don't have any savings, just living paycheck-to-paycheck so would prefer just to send work-related documents. The UK government pays £105.95 weekly to a couple through benefits, from my understanding. So I should be ok as I earn over twice that but I'm still worried finan...

Sorry to worry you Laura721! It is just that I see posts where people are sending bank statements. Is my payslips or a letter from my employer fine? Or should I send both?

Are you a British Citizen by the way? I am hoping that through my Italian Citizenship my husband is eligible for the EEA.

I'd like to add that I read this post http://www.immigrationboards.com/viewtopic.php?t=76104 which was relieving, however since I was born in the UK I figured I would need to show that I could support my spouse, where it would be different if I was "moving" to the UK. Am I correct?

Yes I will! Hey Vinny, could I ask if you know the answer to the question in my first message regarding my husbands refused entry into the UK? Will this detour anything? Also, he is unemployed. On the visa guidance form for the EEA it asks for his financials to prove he can fund his trip. Is this ne...

Re: EEA Family Permit Online Application Queries. Help Neede

129 You answered 'Yes' to the question 'Do you intend to work in the UK?' Please provide details. - What should we put in here? Attach a CV in support? Or explain what she would like to do? Can I ask what you ended up answering for this question? It won't let me leave the space blank.

I was born in the UK in 1988. My mother is Italian and my father British but he is not noted on my birth certificate. How do I find out if I have a permanent right of residence? If we go ahead and apply for the EEA and he is refused, can this complicate matters if he tried to enter the UK as a visit...

Hi Vinny, thanks for the reply. He is living in the US as a US citizen. I flew to the US on a visitors visa to marry him and then returned here. The reason I am confused is that from information I have gathered we are not eligible to apply for a UK spouse visam (I am not a naturalized British citize...

EEA Permit Help.

Hello, I had a few questions regarding the EEA Family Permit as I feel completely overwhelmed by a lot of the information I have read. Firstly, although I was born in the UK and have lived here most of my life (besides living with my husband in the US for little over a year) I hold an Italian Passpo...
