Why choose by post over in-person

Hi,

I have to apply for my ILR before the middle of September, and I have been considering going to the Home Office directly instead of sending it by post. I'd like to know why others on this thread sent their applications by post over going to the home office?

Ofcourse my wife's mother and sister which i mentioned in application form in sponsor's details.... But then why did you get a letter from your father-in-law, and not your mother-in-law and sister-in-law? The person(s) you said you are going to be living with are the ones who should own the house. ...

Place: Delhi
Text received: 20th June 2011
Total working days: 52

Hi Guys, Just to let you know, we applied on 22/03/11 at Delhi VFS, and status was updated on 14th June, exactly 58th working day from the date of application. and VISA was stamped on 13thJune. Application timeline

Hi,

It seems that none of us have heard back from the BHC. Personally, I applied at the BHC Delhi in early April 2011, but no news so far.

It seems that they haven't gotten around to processing applications made in early March, I wonder why the high commission is being exceptionally slow...
