Yes, I understand the recieving country had to stamp it and it does in all cases (if you travel by air), but I think when you go by ferries it is different. The passport/visa check happens in Dover (or port of departure not at recieving end). Probably I will put the ticket, room booking confirmation...

Hi Guys I have spent less than 180 outside UK. The problem is there is one absence or journey which I have done through ferry and immigration officer at UK port Or French port has not stamped it while leaving. When I came back they stamped it. 180 days condition for dependent?

Guys, For ILR the condition of 180 days for dependent, does it apply? My wife has not been away from country for more than 90 days in any year. But I think in last 3 years she has been away for around 180 days. I get different answers from all my colleagues but not sure what reality is ? Please help...

I think this letter won't be possible. My ILR is due in July2012, is one year rent record enough (if i start renting from this month to next year)? I am also planning to buy a property would that help?

Rent paid by company and ILR

Hi,

Company has provided me accomdation as I have to travel and I am living rent free.

I am paying council tax for me and my wife.
What would be the documentation required at the time of ILR? I have to show rent going out of my bank account or council tax proof would be enough?
