So my question is - whether such a person suffice? Yes as that person will have to certify the photo with the statement on the back stating “I certify that this is a true likeness of [applicant’s full name]" They will also try to contact the countersignatory to obtain confirmation of the above.

It will be considered as lawful stay under Section 3C/3D
See P.24 Time awaiting a decision on an application or appeal
Under sections 3C and 3D, it is not possible to submit a new application while an appeal is outstanding

You can get the Tax Office details from your employer.
So should for Q3.2, should I be ticking an employee? Or self-employed?
You need to tick employee as this is your current situation.

The guideline states that your Photos must be taken within the last month

However, you can get away with it, using the same photo.

You will need to wait until one of you become BC or in the process of becoming BC.

You can include his registration when you apply for BC.

You do not need to include him with your ILR application.

1. You may switch to PBS dependant from 1 Oct 2013, while your spouse is under Tier 1.
2. Else, you may switch to FLR(M)after your spouse is applying for/granted ILR.

Unfortunately, your qualifying period for ILR as a dependant will be reset after the switch
