Hello Spidery_thread,

I was not talking about my husband's ILR application on his own. I was discussing about to change his Tier 2 visa to the "dependent on my ILR" ie he will be my PR dependent. IS that possible? or for this as well he needs to complete his 5 years in UK.

Will absence from UK due to maternity affect BC???

Hello everyone, I came to UK in July 2006 on WP. I got my ILR inJuly 2011. Since I had got no help/family support in UK, I went to India in March 2012 for the delivery of my baby (which was born in April 2012). If I would have stayed in UK till July 2012, I could have applied for my citizenship stra...

Hi,
Even I am confused with this. I am not married to british citizenship holder. I got my ILR in July 2011 after living here in uk for last 5 years. But now I am not sure that can I apply for citizenship now or will I have to wait for 12 months to apply for BC?

Hi Vinni and John, If we have our baby in India, can we directly apply for his/her British citizenship from India (as mother has got ILR)? Or first we will have to get child settlement visa (or dependent of ILR) from India and then register the baby here as british citizen? John, I could not get you...

Hi John, Thanks for your reply. I recently moved to UK just 1 year before. I have Tier2 so I did not mention anything about my visa as I thought visa of mother will be enough for the baby. So if mother has ILR and the baby is born here then he will automatically get british citizenship? And we do no...
