28 days rule..

Hi, I believe I can apply for my ILR not more than 28 days before I become eligible. Does this rule apply for PEO applications too? Also, could someone please confirm if it is 28 "working" days or just straight 28 days including weekends? I become eligible for ILR on 7th November 2012 whic...

Oh yeah GSOtodd,

I don't see how you will be affected by these newly proposed changes! It will take months before these changes are actually made into concrete rules and be implemented, so you should be ok in July!

Good luck with your settlement application!

Cheers

Thanks! My gut feeling is also the same!!! I strongly feel the UKBA could (potentially!) so easily bring in rules later this year to say "ALL" new Tier 2 applications since 6th April 2011 will be affected!! Yeah, I think it's best not to change my visa status until I get my ILR! Cheers, Arv

Switching from Tier 2(general) to Tier 2(general)

Hi all, I hope someone will be able to advice me please! I am currently on a Tier 2 (general) visa from January 2010 and I am eligible for ILR in June 2012 (I was on a work permit before my current Tier 2). The situation is, I have now been offered a new job and the company is happy to sponsor me on...

Oh cool, good luck!! So after your visa stamping you are planning to resign your current job? And is this being treated as "extension application" since you are already in Tier 2 or a fresh Tier 2 application? Please drop a line here to say how it went... I haven't taken an appointment yet...

Hi yasiradeel,

How did you get on? Have you got the tier 2 visa stamped as planned?

Let me know!

Thanks for your help! That makes absolute sense! One question, fingers crossed it doesn't happen, but will the current certificate of sponsorship and leave to remain be valid until a new tier 2 visa has been stamped or does it expire as soon as the new employer raises a new certificate of sponsorshi...

Switching from Tier 2 (general) to Tier 2 (general)

Hi, I hope someone will be able to shed some light on this situation: I am currently on a Tier 2(general) visa valid until Jan 2013. I have now been offered a new job with another employer, who is willing to sponsor me on a new Tier 2 general visa as I meet all the criteria and they have done a resi...

Hi

Hi,

I am exactly in the same situation! Switching from Tier 2 general to tier 2 general! What's the best way of dealing with this in terms of resigning old job and starting the new one?
