I would strongly recommend you to have the document translated in Turkish. You might be ok to enter Turkey but on the way back Turkish police will try to make sure that you have a right to live in the UK. As most of them don't know English, your English written document will not mean anything to them.

My wife is a Polish citizen as well. She was out of job once for 8 months and another time for 6 months during her study and rest of the time she worked only part time. We never had CSI but got our PR cards without any problems. Also, i think it is worth to mention she was given her Residency Certif...

If the rules are still the same you can apply 28 days before. So let say your residency card valid until 30th June 2012, your application for PR should reach to the Home Office not earlier than 2nd June.

Just a quick update might be useful for people in my situation. I was really worried about the CSI as we have never had one as i mentioned above. However, it turned out not to be very important for the caseworker as they confirmed my PR on the 24/06/2011. I am not sure if i was very lucky or its not...

Hi Vampiro.
My time history is exactly same as yours. Called the HO today and was advised that my application is still progressing.
Fingers cross. :(

Make sure, you buy the right 'comprehensive sickness insurance' which covers both of you and can demonstrate that you have enough money to live on while your wife is out of job. As well as these ask your wife to register with the job centre to secure yourselves fully.

Thanks for your reply Kitty. My wife's course wasn't related to the job she was doing at the time. I guess I'm just hoping that the caseworker disregard the fact that we didn't have CSI for the period she was not working. I remember having read such a scenario on one of these forums. Otherwise, i th...

Comprehensive Sickness Insurance for EEA4.

Hi all, I applied for EEA4 on 29/03/2011. Received COA two weeks later. My wife has been working since 2005 and did her degree course between 2008/2010. While she was studying, she was out of work once for 8 months and another time for 6 months. We weren't aware of CSI and hadn't had it. Although, I...
