Tier-1 Postal approved

Hi, I received my Tier-1 extension approval along with BRPs yesterday for me and two of my dependants (wife+kid). I have updated the sticky thread as well. I still want to update here because I have seen many people requesting the procedure for getting extensions/initial visas to the newborns in the...

I dont think this will block your ILR. Please follow the previous suggestion of getting your CRB check done and mention about this fine on your application.

when did you apply for your tier2 extension? BTW ...solicitors have lots of appointments to get you a quick service for ILR if you can get the passport within these 2 weeks but a bit costly.

My friend's wife's application was rejected who was in somewhat similar situation as yours. He was on Tier-2 ICT and though she proved that she has employment in India they rejected saying that since husband has tier-2 ICT they did not find a valid reason to issue a visitor visa for the dependant.

There would be no sticker in the passport. You will receive the Biometric Residence permit which is a replacement for visa sticker. Please wait for a couple of days.

I would suggest it a different way. Get your baby's Indian passport done and do not get the visa done . After you and your wife have your ILR, you can then directly apply for british passport for your kid. Two advantages here. 1) You are safe for any urgent requirement for travel to India. 2)If you ...

You would not be impacted with the new rules. With regards to extension, I suggest you go 2 months ahead only as it is now taking about 3 months to process an application based on the feedback seen here any my personal experience where I am going for bio-metrics tomorrow whereas I applied on may 5th.

Congrats first!!!

One funny thing is that the UKBA website says they are considering applications who have attended biometrics on or before 9th May but your result has now come out much earlier .

Good atleast it proves that sometimes processing can be much quicker than what they say.

Yes, because you would be awarded the same points the next time during your externsion as well. so better get it corrected as you will lose 10 important points.

Hi Mate,
Congrats first and I know you had a great sigh of relief!!

You said you changed two employers on Work Permits. Did he ask for all the P60's for last 5 years or just the employee letters.

Regards,
Venkat
