@angelcountry - walrusgumble, like most other people on this forum, is merely expresses his opinion. sometimes it's useful to glean from other's experiences with the system and their own personal trials and tribulations, but that's really it. You should not take advice from this forum as cast in sto...

I also sent them everything on the 8th of July. I didn't get any acknowledgment letter or call yet. Im thinking to call them! There is probably no harm in calling them to verify whether they did receive your payment/GNIB card/photos. How did you send it? If by registered post, you should be able to...

Should I panic as I have still not received the phone call for the 28th July. Please advise. Well, I suppose it could be due to a number of reason. I can't actually remember if I specified a contact number on my application, so I did wonder how they would contact me. I did, with subsequent correspo...

They first sent out a approval letter, then I submitted all requested stuff (payment, GNIB cards and photo...

Re: Citizenship Ceremony

Aceform wrote:Just received the letter from INIS, but there is no yellow form :-)
I suppose the reason there is no yellow form is because we do not need to make court appointments for our oaths any more since it will be issued at the ceremony.

I agree. This forum was instrumental in providing me with answers at times where I got very frustrated with the process.

It has FINALLY arrived! :) Our letters specifying payment of CoN fees and other detail. I am so relieved! After 33 months.

Just thought I'd share it with those of you waiting for a long period now - there is light at the end of the tunnel!

ridiculous! they should seriously prioritise the people that's been waiting the longest.

at this rate it may be faster if I apply again with the new 6-month scheme.

outrageous.

This is infuriating! Spoke to INIS and they advised me "that my file hasn't come back from the minister yet", even though last week I was told that my file is back but they are busy processing the backlog. It's great that the system is improving, but why can't you just get a consistent ans...

I am a bit confused and hope someone can tell me what they think. I've applied in Sept 2008 and still haven't received an answer. If I am to believe what INIS have told me that - My file is back from the minister with a decision (but she could tell me what it was over the phone - called 2 weeks ago)...

FYI! :) I also spoke to INIS, and was informed that a large number of applications submitted last quarter of 2008 came back from the minister's office. Because of the high number of applications during that time there is apparently a huge backlog and they are working towards getting letters out as f...

Using solicitors to speed-up naturalisation decision

I called at end of March '11 and were told my file was sent to the minister in middle of March and was told decision should take 4-6 weeks. That deadline has now passed (almost 11 weeks since the date sent) and still no answer. I spoke to them recently again and all that the (friendly) women could t...
