Casa is right! My husband (also Egyptian) and I had the exact same query. Asmy partner was with me in the UK before we married in Cairo, my landlord wrote a new Tenancy Agreement with my husbands name on it, and we both signed it. However, we were told, that the landlord can adjust a claus in the ag...

The minimum weekly amount remaining after rent or mortgage, council tax and any * loan/credit repayments for a couple is £105.95. You don't need to include other bills and outgoings. You will need to include the * IVA payments in your calculations. Thank you for clarifying the exact amount :D Yenh...

One bit of advise my hubby and I were given, was not to put in too much...

What i mean is, make sure not to supply endless documentation, when you have already supplied what is required. You don't want the ECO to miss something that is vital.

:D

Wishing you all the best!!

Have you started collecting evidence to send off?

Do not forget is is very important to write a Letter with your application, outlining all that you have submitted and why.

Your future wife will write a letter of confirmation on your relationship, but also adding a cover letter, always is a help.

Thanks STLewis and sweetmissy i guess you are right we might as well save some money and get married in Serbia. I've read the settlement(spouse) application form VAF4A it makes things a bit clearer but still money related questions remain. Question for me: Do you receive income from any other sourc...

I agree with STlewis, it would be a better option for you and your wife to Marry in Serbia. Plenty of people apply for Spouse Visas using third party sponsor. As long as they are happy to do this for you, I believe they would have to submit the last 3 - 6 months bank statements and employment detail...

If anything... I started a thread 'spouse visa waiting times-your stories' if you post the visa result on that one, as it will be helpful to others to read on there :D

I would not worry MrJ..

Each Embassy is different how they do things.

My hubby and I haven't been together a long time, so maybe that is why...

Trust me, other people who have got visas were not contacted at all.. so don't worry..

Please can you let me know the outcome for your spouse visa?

Aww thank you for your responses..... I wouldn't have the first clue. I contacted WorldBridge, and simply got the generic email "90% of settlement visa's are completed in 12 weeks"... I know i may seem impatient, but 12 weeks is ever so long, with no sort of update... it just says 'Arrived...

Anyone Contacted the BHC for visa update?

I know this may appear a random question... What happens if you do not hear within the 12 week time frame, with regards to a visa Application? Do people have the right to contact the BHC? I know a few people on this forum, have contacted the BHC in their country of application... But to me it seems,...
