Thanks for ImmigrationBoards (and members)

The long journey is over for me (12 years, ILR + 1). I have chosen the longest, independent and most difficult route (based on continuous work and paying taxes), with years spent living and studying in the UK unaccounted. Good luck to everyone else. A note about the passport, it was really quick, I ...

Help

Hi all,

Just got interview letter today. IPS guy said I will not receive my documents back until the end of the process.

I see people here having their documents returned before they even have their interview, am I missing something?

Thanks for your help in advance

Hi BigSam I understand the concern. I would advise you to completely forget about it until the six months expire. Then if no reply contact your local MP. There was not much I could do before the 6 Months even though I was seeing on this forum applications made much later than mine being processed su...

Just an update about this might be helpful. After I emailed my local MP I got a prompt reply and my local MP contacted ukba who informed her there has been a backlog and that now they are clearing it. I then a got a prompt letter from UKBA that my application is being processed. It then it took few ...

Hi, I have been waiting for a reply for my BC application for over six months now. I have emailed UKBA but no reply this time around. My application is straight forward (ILR +1). They say the website they don't accept phone inquiries anymore. I know people from same country of origin who had their a...

Referees Question

Hi, Apologies if there is already an existing thread discussing this already, which I could not find. I hope someone can answer this question for me. I have a friend who is FSA registered, he is a Bonds Trader, aka a Broker Dealer. Can he be considered as a Broker category as per the HO list? Note t...

Success Story

I got my ILR today!
What a relief, I was worried my application would drop into being a postal application.
Delay was two days exactly because of shortage of staff.
Thanks everyone for your advice and good luck for those waiting.

Thanks KP My case is definately clear. The thing on HO office web site they do mention delays for technical reasons, and that they will deal with it in the next 24 hours or "very shortly after", really they don't specify what very shortly after means. I think I will have to speak to my sol...

The solicitor's company will have slots with the Home Office every week for same day service, so you will just have to pay them the premium fee so that they can pay the home office. The solicitor's fees are separate.

Hope that helps

You need to:

1) Read only examinable chapters, they are all available online:
weblink removed

2) Practice the questions using: weblink removed

You do 1) in the first day and 2) twice in the second day and you will hopefully pass easily.

Cheers

I am paying for premium service through a solicitor, and he says there has been delays last week, hence I am still waiting for my approval.

Could this mean something else ?

ILR delays (Croydon)

Hi,
Does anyone know the most likely reason for ILR delays over the last few days in Croydon (Premium Service)?

Has anyone had the same problem recently?

I keep hearing they are a bit short of staff.

Thanks for you help in advance
