Casa's right - I never even thought about the additional funds required regarding your children, so you will need £292.94 available after mortgage council tax and loans, so based on what you've already advised, its looks as though you will need third party financial support for your application. I ...

Hi Shuvie, Just so you know, whilst he is not able to claim any benefits/public funds once here on a spouse/fiance visa, you are required to submit a joint claim for tax credits. This is because whilst you alone are entitled to them, they have to take into account the fact he lives wiht you, and may...

Hi Abigail, I didnt actually submit a finances spreadsheet for my husband's application in Cairo. I provided wage slip x 6 months (showing £1,100 net per month) evidence of child benefit and working tax credit. However this was clearly shown going into my bank account monthly in my bank statements....

In order to show you can support your wife you need to provide evidence that after paying your mortgage council tax and any loans , you will be left with £105.95 each week to live on. So should you choose to take a loan to assist with flights etc then your repayments for this, will be taken into ac...

If Ive read your post correctly, and your wife is in the UK currently as a student, then she is clearly breaching the immigration rules as she is working full time. As I understand it, she is only entitled to work up to 20 hrs a week whilst she studies.

You mention that you have not worked recently and if this will affect your spousal application; my husband was unemployed when we applied for his visa and this was a concern for me. However, he had wor...

Once she is 65, It would help if you could show she has been financially dependent upon you, although you do mention that she isn't, and the visa is actually for "dependent" elderley relatives.

This depends on which country you are applying from, you will probably be able to find a "Guide for Processing Times" on the VAC website where you submitted your application. However, if you are planning to apply from within the UK, as I suspect from a previous post, I do not know. I doubt...

I would suggest that you mention to your job centre that you are thinking of having a holiday out of the uK for 5 days, since a condition of claiming JSA is that you are always available to start work - and obviously you can't be if you are not in the country. However, you are entitled to have holid...

As I understand it, (and each case depends on its facts), there must be evidence to show that the sponsoring parent remained in sole control of the child's upbringing. Even when a child has been left in the care of other family members, there must be some degree of shared responsibility for the chil...

Pompeyboy, Your friend can simply obtain official copies of his property from the Land registry. This sets outs the title number, address and who the registered owners are i.e him and his wife. Also it will show if the property is mortgaged or free from incumbrances. It costs 4.00. If he has a Mortg...
