Furthermore, my cousin married her fiance here after he applied for a fiance visa and she was advised the same. She never made any bookings/arrangements, nor did she supply copies of emails ma...

Casa, I don't see how my post is incorrect - I was advising Milo85 that third party support is an option for them as they both are unemployed . I doubt it very much that without that third party support, that he would be granted a visa to come and marry when both have no jobs and no third party supp...

Your best option is for your girlfriend to come to UK alone, she will need to show she has adequate accommodation for you to join her, has a job, and can support you since on a fiancee visa you are unable to work at all, until you have changed visa status to spouse after the marriage. Third party su...

I used to check his visa updates about a trillion times a day, as did he and I remember the day before he got the visa it literally said nothing, so we knew it was possibly in the process of being updated. It only changed the day after we actually got the visa to "Documents with Courier" W...

Just checked the most recent update of Processing Times in Cairo (that being June). Only 22 settlement decisions were made, with 86% made in 60 days and 95% made in 90 days.

Im sure you will hear any day now!

HI, When I prepared my husbands spouse application we used a Lever Arch file. I typed up an Index at the front and used card dividers to separate each section, as per the Index. I placed everything in plastic wallets also. I suspect you are including far too much if you need two folders. I was extre...

why don't you just apply for spouse visa, as you her spouse????

You definitely cant swap from visitor, and if you applied as a visitor the ECO may wonder whether you'll actually go back within the 6 months!

When should we apply for ILR?

Hi guys, My husband got his spouse visa last year on 17th May 2010 valid until 17th Aug 2012. However he flew to me in UK on 24th May 2010. I understood it that he should apply for ILR no earlier than 28 days before the expiry of his visa, i.e 28 days before 17th August 2012. However I have since be...

Hi So Hopeful, I simply copied my Tenancy Agreement and I highlighted the clause which stated how many people could live there. There was also an additional clause in mine, stating that should I die my tenancy agreement would pass to my spouse, even if they were not on the Agreement. This reassured ...

Hi, you can marry fairly easily since the Certificate of Approval was abolished. However is it really worth it? Since you are doing this while you remain in breach of immigration laws , you are likely to be refused leave to remain, when you get round to applying. You should return to your home count...

You will see it says a fiance visa is issued as it is your intention to marry withint 6 months. Once married, you can apply from UK for settlement. Hope this helps

HI, Thanks for your reply :)

Think we may be tempted to go in person, I seem to be reading a few horror stories where applications have been rejected because the fee was unable to be taken etc etc.

Just slightly sickening to have pay an extra £300 to do it. Oh well!

My husband is due to apply for his IDR at the end of the year. We have had a look at the form he needs to complete, along with documentation. Initially we were going to send this by special delivery at the appropriate time, but I am now starting to wonder whether we should attend in person. Does it ...
