So i don't really see (personally) any benefit in taking a OCI card, especially when we have to deal with this ugly "photographs rejection" obsession of this OCI visa department of India. All your points and justifications taken but I still don't understand one thing. Assuming you are eli...

Opps !, that was bad literature, of course.

The word *BLANK* does not mean that you gotto sign in a blank sheet.

I think what they mean is, permission to scan and "upload the photograph" with signature. So make sure you put this information.

Re: photos for OCI

Whoever is going to apply for OCI. There is a suggestion. The photos need to have white background and ears and shoulders should be visible ( not required for British passport ). They are rejecting the applications if the above is not followed. So be careful !! You do need 8 photographs in total. G...

If an individual is on salaried job, is it safe to assume that the cost involved for him to do the job equals his full salary - but as you see, its not matched here. If so, I meant, £290 remaining as cost incurred which could be claimed backed from the Revenue for that financial year during self ass...

Re: Present job market

But i also heard that most of them are not real vacancies. Vahini. Not all of them, but I agree, there are quite a few dodgy recruitment agents out there who put fake job adverts to collect CVs and head hunt for the best 'potential' candidate for anticipated future vacancies. That’s simply their mo...

Re: Company liquidation. NI fond = public funds ?

Hi Alex Effectively two ways you can deal with it. - via normal National Insurance (£290 pw) claim as described - When your company is liquidated they receive tax-free sums from the govt as per the DTI trading norms and regulations to pay off wages that are due - this depends on a lot on other ‘para...

There was never a time where doctors were allowed to enter UK for work without workpermit or other visas like TWES.

Re: WP Sponsorship , 1 to 1000 ??

If you are outside the UK, you need an Entry Clearence (EC) which is additional paper work and will take some more extra time on top of the actual work permit processing. May be thats one of the reasons... I am just curious , do you know even 1 “visa national” who was granted a WP. How these guys ma...

I don't think this really matters now a day as most of the private sector contracts are signed for day rates. Daily rate applies to a professional day so anything outside the professional day, say working after 6.30pm, then technically the overtime rate will come into picture. Having said that, most...
