Are you completing the online application before you travel in February? If you do this then you can pick a date to hand in your documents whilst you are there.

Not sure if it helped but I put down a date of travel that was quite quick after documents submitted. i.e. documents submitted 21/11/11, date of travel 2/1/12. Maybe they try harder to process in time for your date of travel?

Thanks! I used parcelforce, but they sub-contracted it to DHL. So don't pay extra to send via DHL, Fedex etc. The post office did well the parcel got there in 4 days. We were told 3 months to process visa application, so you never know your's could be quick too. Good Luck! :)

I have a regular income & my hubby has a job waiting for him when he gets here. But still worried that they will see how much overdrawn I am & refuse application straightaway for that.

I'm pleased that your step son is here now, that is great news. Yes, I am using the template that you posted & making sure I include cover letters & documents are organised well. I think you are more confident my husbands visa will be granted than I am, but fingers crossed! Thankyou for all ...

Thanks for replying. Can I just confirm the overdraft thing. I have an arranged overdraft of £1000 on my account, which I use. So for example, my current balance is £840 OVERDRAWN. However I never go over my set limit of £1000 overdraft. Is this still ok, or would I need to clear this overdraft??

I have read on various forums that a settlement visa has been refused due to the sponsor's bank account being overdrawn. My account has an arranged overdraft limit & is within this limit. Does anyone have info on this pls?

Is that £105.95 remaining per week each?? So £105.95 for me & £105.95 for fiance?? Should we get married in my fiances country what would be the procedure for him coming to UK, I presume he would still have to apply for a spouse visa in his country & not be granted immediate entry to UK?
