I've asked the institution and they said that I can study on PSW if I want to, but it's better to switch because as PSW has been closed and they were not sure what future policies will be regarding this. Thanks again.

I am currently on PSW visa which is due to expire on Sep 2013, I got admission in a Masters programme which is due to start in Sep 2012. So my question is should I switch to Tier 4 before starting my course or can I start my course on PSW and switch it later?

You can use your saving account, I had HSBC saving account myself and got my visa. Hope this helps, and good luck with your application.

You do have to send in the letter with your application, otherwise it will be deemed invalid.

Thank you for your replies, my name was spelled correctly on the biometric letter, so all is good.

For anyone in the similar situation, I called the Immigration enquiry bureau and the checked that my name was correctly spelled on the system. Hence it was just a typo on the letter.

Your will recieve biometric residence card rather than visa stamp on your passport so it doens't matter if your passport will expire before the possibly expiry of the visa.
