Thanks for the information.

But I have question on gentlejuke's post, if we leave nationality section blank and quote as gentlejuke mentioned, arent we saying that the child is stateless?

Thanks for the response.

I am planning to register my daughter as soon as I get my ILR while my wife's FLR is still under process.

Do I require my wife's passport as well for registering my daughter or will my passport alone suffice? Please advice.

Hello there, I am in a similar situation like you and I was pointed to this thread when I asked similar questions. The only difference in my case is I will be in ILR when I register my daughter using MN1 form and my wife will be in FLR. I have not registered my daughter with High Commission of India...

OK thank you, I also meant registering with Indian High commission as Indian citizen for my daughter, but reading the topic you provided as a link, I understand that I dont need to register either.

So I can say Indian in MN1 form for Nationality field for my daughter, correct?

is it mandatory for the mother and father to be in ILR for the baby to be entitled for british citizenship or can the father alone be in ILR?

This is because my wife wont get ILR while I apply for ILR as she has not been in UK for more than 2 years.
